After being condemned in 1995 and reborn in 1997 following a massive renovation, the Kramer School Artist’s Cooperative located in the MacArthur Park Historic District, is Little Rock’s oldest surviving building and the only one dating back to the 19th century.
Today the Kramer School Artist’s Cooperative consists of 22 apartments serving as live / work space forming a society of artists working in all mediums. In addition to the large loft style apartments, the Kramer School Artist's Cooperative offers long hallways for displays and gallery space for the artist’s body of work.
Our main objective is to foster and build community relationships while promoting the arts, and increasing awareness of the arts in Arkansas. Since our doors opened in 1997, the Kramer School Artist’s Cooperative has numerous outreach programs. Some of the groups we have worked with are:
